Intermediate Pitching Seminar 201

This course provides the ground work of various pitching techniques and mechanics. The seminar includes video analysis of the top pitchers in the world. What are the basic principles and what are the variables. Opened or Closed?  Which way does the palm face in your arm circle? Internal rotation, forearm fire, or hello elbow?  The answers are not as simple as you think? 

 

Instructor/Coaches Level   Pitching 301

This course breaks down the mechanics of the top pitchers in the world and looking at their differences and similarities through each part of the motion. This seminar is geared toward pitching instructors or coaches looking to understand pitching and help their players perform better. Recognize vital timing and mechanical issues, and understand some of the bio-mechanics of pitching.    You will walk away with an appreciation of how complicated the pitching motion really is.

Instructor Level   Breaking Pitches  302

An in depth look at spins, hand positions, posture, and movement of a variety of different pitches from the top pitchers. What makes the ball move?  What to do with spin rate numbers.  Change-ups, drops, curves, risers, screw balls and more.  Does the riseball really rise?  Understanding pitching calling and effective velocity.

The Process:  Problems & Fixes  310

An in depth look at common and uncommon problems and the causes, drills, and various solutions.  Instructors will be able to diagnose and fix problems quicker, create a checklist, and gain ideas on how to create player accountability.

Effective Uses of Technology  410

Coaches will learn various ways to create & share video analysis of their students.  We will also walk you through how to use some of the apps and tools available so that they are useful.  Some of the topics include Hudl, Coaches Eye, Pocket Radar, Jugs Cube,  Revfire, Pitch Tracker, 4d Motion, Rapsodo, Ideal video settings and lens tricks, Video delay.
